Vermont Bridge Association - Home

Welcome to the Vermont Bridge Association,

your home for duplicate bridge in The Green Mountain State!

NEWS FROM THE WASHINGTON D.C. NABC:  In a recommendation from ACBL's Competions and Conventions Committee, the Board of Directors has ruled that beginning August 1 the definition of a one notrump opener/overcall includes hands containing a singleton ace, king or queen as long they do not also contain a doubleton.  Hand patterns now accepted include 5-4-3-1, 6-3-3-1, and 4-4-4-1.  The complete story can be found in the Bridge Bulletin from Saturday, June 30.

The Burlington Bridge Club will hold the Marilyn Hacker Memorial Game on Saturday, August 6, which includes two sessions of bridge, a meal between sessions and food all day for $25. There is also a Newcomers section for those with 0-300 MPs if they prefer not to play in the open game.  Please see the event flyer HERE for all of the information for the day.

GOOD LUCK TO ALL PLAYERS HEADING TO D.C.
