Welcome to the Vermont Bridge Association,

your home for duplicate bridge in The Green Mountain State!

Burlington Club takes real steps to draw new duplicate players to the game.

You can't play bridge these days and remain unaware of the challenges facing the game in building a base of new players. Well, a couple of years ago several players from the Burlington Bridge Club decided to get real about this issue and built a program that is now reaping real rewards.

Click on the link here and read the story of how they did it, and about the great appreciation the new players have for their efforts, including a poetic tribute that captures the commitment from those of us addicted to this game!

Dick Tracy reports: An all-Vermont team won its bracket in a Round Robin Swiss at Saratoga on Thursday, June 8th. The team included Steve and Karen Randle, Israel Perlman and Dick Tracy.

The 8.17 gold points won were enough to earn Perlman Life Master status. Prior to the event he had far more than enough total points, but was short by fewer than 8 golds. What a thrill to be present for that wonderful moment and to see how genuinely pleased Israel was!

Welcome new members David Hirshberg of Quechee and Sue Resnick of Mendon.
